CLUB INFORMATION
The Drumheller Valley Figure Skating Club is a member of Skate
Canada. We are located in the South-Central
Region of Alberta. The club was established in
1968 and has over 50 skaters in all levels. We offer skating programs
for all ages and abilities and follow the standards that have
been set by Skate Canada.

CENTRAL REGION FUNSKATE
February 5-7, 2010

Competition
Information
This year's Fun Meet is going
to be in Carstairs, Alberta February 5-7, 2010. Here
is some information to help you prepare for this year's
competition:
1. There will be a registration fee (which is usually
approximately $30/event).
2. There are also fees that will be paid directly to
your coach. These fees include mileage (which is
$0.40/km) and meals.
3. There is also a lesson fee for your coach to be
down at the ice with your skater. There will be one
lesson fee (of $6.75) for each event.
4. The coaches' fees are usually about $20
(altogether, this includes meals, mileage and the lesson
fee) for 1 event.
5. A note detailing all this information and more will
be given to any skater wishing to compete.
6. All skaters in the competition must have a skating
outfit and have hair up (pony-tail, bun, please no bobby
pins). Make-up may also be worn.
7. All skaters must be at the arena one hour prior to
their competition.
8. During the competition, make sure you can be seen
by the judges. This means skating in the middle of the
arena.
9. Your coach will be with you prior to your
competition for further instructions or questions.
10. After you have competed, do not change out of your
skating outfit until you have seen if you placed first,
second or third. If you have placed, you will be
presented with your medal and pictures will be taken.
